Dope Dinner Series, No. 14 | Madson Wines

July 15, 2026Brian Hibbard

Well it's been an entire YEAR since our last Dope Dinner with y'all. Lots of life has happened, and we finally get to step back into our favorite events, soaking up the sweet Summer evening energy with delicious food, wine, and some of the best company around. So what are you doing on July 23rd at 6pm?

For this round, we're so excited to host one of our favorite winemakers, Cole Thomas, to get this little engine started up again. His winery, Madson Wines started in 2016 with one tiny, neglected old Chardonnay vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Cole took it on as a side project, made a little wine for friends, and it quickly turned into very much NOT a side project.

Today they farm over thirty small organic vineyard plots scattered across the mountain range, many of which have been converted away from conventional farming under their care, and the whole operation runs carbon neutral. Low intervention in every possible way, resulting in thoroughly honest, alive, coastal wines that'll put a lil' pep in your step.

It's some of the most exciting winemaking happening in California right now, and we're thrilled to have Cole join us for our 14th Dope Dinner!

"Regenerative agriculture is a holistic farm system that enriches and sequesters carbon dioxide in soils, increases biodiversity, and improves watersheds. While organic agriculture ensures a healthy crop for anthropogenic purposes, organics does not necessarily improve surrounding ecosystems and soils. With an evolving climate, we believe that agriculture must evolve to not only care for people but also care for the environment and the atmosphere."

Take a peep at the menu to see the Summer goodness that that Ike and the team have put together to accompany Cole's revered wines.

Want in? We'd so love to have you!

If it's your first time attending a Dope Dinner, there are a few different seating options (also feel free to peek at the FAQ page). We setup a few communal tables along the banquette bench, this is for folks who love hanging out and meeting new people.

Window counter seats are especially nice for a little date night with just you and your bestie or  sweetie.

Bar seating is also quite fun, and you'll get some extra face-time with your favorite Field friends who'll be taking care of you.

The menu is set as-is and we are unable to make any large substitutions due to our teeny tiny kitchen and small crew. That said, if you have needs for a small omission from a dish, please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll let you know what's possible!

The price is inclusive of the full menu and wine pairing with each course. Full glass pours and cocktails are also available a la carte.

This price is before sales tax, which is 10.4% in Tacoma.

We also charge a 20% service charge in lieu of the traditional tip. We use this to provide thriving, consistent wages and benefits for our entire team — salaried and hourly, kitchen and floor — regardless of daily sales. It also allows us to equitably share tax responsibilities with our employees, unlike traditional tips.

We put together those cute two person tables and make communal tables of 4, 6, and 8 people respectively. You may sit with some wonderful new friends! If that style doesn't sound like your jam, checkout the bar or window counter seats.

This event is non-refundable due to our very small space and planning purposes, BUT you may transfer them to some buddies if you are unable to attend at the last minute.

Just shoot us a message and let us know who the lucky ones are!

The menu is set as-is and we are unable to make any large substitutions due to our size in staff and space.

We do truly love cooking for vegans and vegetarians, or folks with other preferences, and we would love if you would join us for dinner another night. We'll make you something beautiful!

We're pretty good at many allergy accommodations. Please get in touch with us BEFORE purchasing tickets and we'll let you know if there is anything we can easily omit from a specific dish.

We'll also say, these dinners are A LOT of food, so if there's one dish that doesn't fit your vibe or diet, you will still be plenty fed.

Yes! We'll have everything available for purchase after the event, as well as a pre-sale list in case we sell out.
