Dope Dinner Series, No. 13 | Bow & Arrow

Jun 20, 2025Brian Hibbard

Field's getting the July vibe off to the best start as we welcome Scott Frank of Bow & Arrow Wines for our next Dope Dinner! TWO nights this time around, we'll have plenty of fun celebrating Oregon terroir, the inspired vino that Scott brings to life from it, and a super Summery bounty of good seafood and produce that bring all of those Summer feels 🌻

Before launching Bow & Arrow, Scott was a grocery store wine buyer in Portland, newly landed from New York and already fascinated with Oregon’s wine culture. He cut his teeth alongside some of the region’s most respected winemakers while quietly imagining his own project. Wines that felt livelier, a little less precious, and embracing varietal and vibe inspiration from the Loire Valley instead of the classic Burgundian influence that Willamette is widely known for.

Scott's been lovingly crafting these gorgeous and unpretentious wines under the Bow & Arrow label from a basement in Northeast Portland since 2010 after a good haul of fruit landed on his doorstep. This subterranean winery channels that playful Loire Valley spirit and a deep love for Oregon’s scrappy side. Scott celebrates the working-class heart of the Willamette Valley through refreshingly vibrant, low-intervention wines made in close collaboration with farmers who share his belief in simplicity and soul.

"The valley I know and love is as much a blue-collar agricultural area as it is a boutique wine destination. It’s as much a collection of relatively simple, clay dominated soils as it is home to multi-generation family estates and renowned AVA’s. Bow & Arrow uses a different template to explore this different, simpler side of the Willamette Valley. Instead of Burgundy, we pay homage to the refreshing and decidedly working class wines of France’s Loire Valley."

If it's your first time attending a Dope Dinner, there are a few different seating options (also feel free to peek at the FAQ page). We setup a few communal tables along the banquette bench, this is for folks who love hanging out and meeting new people.

Window counter seats are especially nice for a little date night with just you and your bestie or  sweetie.

Bar seating is also quite fun, and you'll get some extra face-time with your favorite Field friends who'll be taking care of you.

The menu is set as-is and we are unable to make any large substitutions due to our teeny tiny kitchen and small crew. That said, if you have needs for a small omission from a dish, please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll let you know what's possible!
