Dope Dinner Series, No. 12 | Grape Ink

April 21, 2025Brian Hibbard

We’re incredibly honored to welcome our dear friends Jarad and Giulia Hadi of Grape Ink to Field for a gorgeous evening of beautiful food, expressive wine, and that sweet, sweet new Spring energy 🌱

After time spent in Bordeaux and planting vines just outside Paris, Jarad returned to Oregon to farm, and Grape Ink was born. This soulful project, based in the Tualatin Hills AVA, is the essence of small-scale, deeply personal winemaking. With a focus on high-elevation sites in the Willamette Valley, each bottle is a raw, honest portrait of the land, the season, and the human hearts behind it.

I first met Jarad in the early bottle shop days of COVID, and his blend of passion, precision, humor, and warmth has stayed with me ever since. Giulia, a brilliant Italian artist (and the hands behind those gorgeous hand-painted canvas labels you might’ve seen in the shop), will be sharing more about her artwork at the dinner too 💛

I’ve had the immense joy of spending time with them both in Tacoma and at their home in Oregon—they’re true hosts, deeply kind, grounded, and full of soul. This evening will be something truly special, and we’d be so happy to share it with you xx

Want in? We'd so love to have you!

If it's your first time attending a Dope Dinner, there are a few different seating options (also feel free to peek at the FAQ page). We setup a few communal tables along the banquette bench, this is for folks who love hanging out and meeting new people.

Window counter seats are especially nice for a little date night with just you and your bestie or  sweetie.

Bar seating is also quite fun, and you'll get some extra face-time with your favorite Field friends who'll be taking care of you.

The menu is set as-is and we are unable to make any large substitutions due to our teeny tiny kitchen and small crew.

FAQ Logistical Goodness

The price is inclusive of the full menu and wine pairing with each course. Full glass pours and cocktails are also available a la carte.

This price is before sales tax, which is 10.4% in Tacoma.

We also charge a 20% service charge in lieu of the traditional tip. We use this to provide thriving, consistent wages and benefits for our entire team — salaried and hourly, kitchen and floor — regardless of daily sales. It also allows us to equitably share tax responsibilities with our employees, unlike traditional tips.

We put together those cute two person tables and make communal tables of 4, 6, and 8 people respectively. You may sit with some wonderful new friends! If that style doesn't sound like your jam, checkout the bar or window counter seats.

This event is non-refundable due to our very small space and planning purposes, BUT you may transfer them to some buddies if you are unable to attend at the last minute.

Just shoot us a message and let us know who the lucky ones are!

The menu is set as-is and we are unable to make any large substitutions due to our size in staff and space.

We do truly love cooking for vegans and vegetarians, or folks with other preferences, and we would love if you would join us for dinner another night. We'll make you something beautiful!

We're pretty good at many allergy accommodations. Please get in touch with us BEFORE purchasing tickets and we'll let you know if there is anything we can easily omit from a specific dish.

We'll also say, these dinners are A LOT of food, so if there's one dish that doesn't fit your vibe or diet, you will still be plenty fed.

Yes! We'll have everything available for purchase after the event, as well as a pre-sale list in case we sell out.
