Vineyard Notes: The Grüner Veltliner vines on the farm were planted over the course of 15 years. As the vines reach maturity, they are able to produce more than just a fresh and light Grüner. The Meinklang Tag is made from the older vines; it is a richer expression than traditional Grüner Veltliner. Enjoy smoky and spiced fruit flavors with an underlying taste of orange rind. The acidity is vibrant, and the finish is long.
Winemaking Notes: The manually harvested Grüner Veltliner goes through full carbonic maceration for about two weeks. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeast. The wine ages for over 9 months in concrete eggs. The wine is not fined or filtered and bottled without sulfites.
About the Label: The day is the time where all potential energy for growth and progression is used. During spring and summer the sun’s power creates a jungle of life that reaches for the warm light of the sky. Each stem-like arm on the leaf-like figure stretches high to gather the strength that’s fed from above.
